• Standalone Application: A modern Windows 11 WinUI 3 desktop application featuring visual bar charts, interactive donut charts, top largest file discovery, recursive file type breakdowns, and CSV export.
• PowerToys Run Plugin: An instant keyboard launcher plugin activated via ds in PowerToys Run (Alt + Space) with full keyboard navigation and quick action commands.
• PowerToys Command Palette Extension: A modern in-palette extension for Windows 11 Command Palette (Win + Shift + P) offering fast, searchable folder inspection directly from your keyboard.

This Privacy Policy explains what information ValleySoft Disk Analyzer accesses, how the tools operate, and your rights as a user. We are committed to complete transparency: this is a privacy-first, 100% offline application suite designed so that your data never leaves your device.

2. Information We Collect

We collect no personal information whatsoever.

ValleySoft Disk Analyzer does not collect, request, access, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Device identifiers or hardware serials
• File contents or sensitive personal documents
• Crash reports sent over the network

The only information the application reads is local drive and file metadata (such as file/folder names, sizes, and timestamps) strictly necessary to calculate and display disk space usage on your screen. This metadata is processed exclusively on your machine and is never transmitted anywhere.

3. How the Tools Work

ValleySoft Disk Analyzer operates entirely locally on Windows:

• When you perform a scan or query a drive, the application uses standard local Windows File System and Win32 APIs to calculate sizes and folder hierarchies.
• All processing happens concurrently in memory on your device using optimized local background threads.
• The results are rendered directly to your screen (via WinUI 3, WPF, or Command Palette).
• When you close the application or launcher session, scan data in memory is released.

4. Data Storage

ValleySoft Disk Analyzer does not store personal data. Specifically:

• No databases or user profiles containing personal data are created.
• User preferences (such as Dark/Light theme selection, hidden files visibility toggle, or recent scan paths) are stored strictly locally in your user profile (via standard Windows local app settings or local configuration files) and never synchronized to external servers.
• No data is ever uploaded to any cloud service, remote server, or third-party platform.

5. Third-Party Services

ValleySoft Disk Analyzer does not integrate with or use any third-party services. This includes, but is not limited to:

ValleySoft Disk Analyzer runs exclusively within the Microsoft PowerToys framework. Any data handling performed by PowerToys itself is governed by Microsoft's own Privacy Statement, which is separate from this policy and outside the control of ValleySoft.

6. Children's Privacy

ValleySoft Disk Analyzer is a general-purpose utility application available to all ages. Because the app collects no personal information from any user, it poses no privacy risk to users of any age group, including children under the age of 13.

ValleySoft does not knowingly collect, solicit, or retain personal information from children. Since the application does not collect data from anyone, no special age-verification or parental consent mechanisms are necessary. If you believe we have inadvertently received any personal information from a child, please contact us immediately via our issue tracker and we will address your concern promptly.
